Capital Punishment should be Banned or Allowed?

Introducing capital punishment is not revenge, it is the highest degree of social protection.

I, Mirnali Krishnamoorthy would like to speak against the topic "Capital punishment should be banned".

Let us start with the meaning of Capital punishment.

It is a punishment that involves the legal killing of a person who commits a serious crime like rape, murder, terrorism.

Let me ask you a question If a person has committed a heinous and unforgivable crime to disturb the peace in our society, shouldn't he be punished? The answer is not yes, it is absolutely.

People say that punishment is alright, though a death sentence is too much. But I disagree. Rapists and terrorists are not afraid of prison as a thief would be.

1. According to my opinion, capital punishment should not be banned because it will increase the crime rates at an alarming rate.

We already witness a lot of crime in our society. Now, imagine if rapists and Terrorists weren't punished in a disciplined manner! Our community would collapse right in front of our eyes! People would start to feel unsafe and insecure.

2. Another point is why should we go easy on a person who has attempted murder?

Shouldn't he/she be given a taste of their medicine? They deserve to be taught a lesson.

Let us consider countries like China and South Korea that have implemented Capital punishment to decrease crime rates to a minimal level.

Capital punishment won't only prevent crimes from happening now, but also in the future as the people will think multiple times before doing something that will cost them their life.

I would like to end by giving a quote: "I think capital punishment works great! Every killer you kill never kills again".

There are a lot of ethical dilemmas involved in capital punishment. In most of the cases, death penalty can be avoided. Life imprisonment is the best alternative for the capital punishment. By imposing life imprisonment, we can reform the person. Even if he is not.

Reformed, life imprisonment can act as a severe punishment and also as a deterrent.

However, the criminals, who do heinous crimes and are incapable of being reformed must be given death penalty, because they don't deserve to live, not even in prison.

In point of my view, the capital punishment should not be banned because it's punishment whose people give who did rape, murder etc and we all know these crimes conclude a valid reason so we can't be ignored it. We also know that many cases in India are going on so it should not be banned.

According to me, capital punishment should be not banned, because the rate of crime would be increased day by day and people would feel unsafe in our country. The people would be free to do all that crime which are unacceptable by someone and one important thing is that someone would have to suffer just because of that person who leads with a crime.

According to me, we should give preference to life impresment instead of capital punishment.

We should give a chance to all criminals to change their behaviour and mind thinking.

As we all know, no one is born criminal. They become criminals due to some circumstances.

If capital punishment is given to criminals, then their will be no chance for them to change their behaviour and human have no rights to kill anyone.

In my point of view, Capital Punishment should not be banned. If we banned in India crime rate increases day by day. Recently Saudi Arabia decided that they did not give death punishment.

According to article 72, if president wants, he could forgive anyone with deta punishment.

In my opinion, capital punishment should be allowed. Presently even when capital punishment is still a valid punishment, the crime rate increasing day by day. And if it is abolished then it will be an encouragement to criminals. A rapist or a heinous criminal must be awarded the death penalty,

But in some cases, as we all know that our judicial system is not transparent. It depends upon the witnesses only and that may be false or fake. I also agree that the abolition of capital punishment will not help anyone.

So to conclude capital punishment should be awarded only after fully investigated the case.
