Yeah of course, demonetization doesn't affect the corruption casual corruption is running. There is no any change. So it uses full for the corrupters and culprits to do their illegal activities easily.

This is without doubt a really interesting question. However just as a coin has two sides, a head and a tail, demonetization also has its merits and demerits.

The ban is undoubtedly a good way to make sure that digitization gets a much needed boost in India in the form of electronic wallets, payment banks etc.

However it was disheartening to see people booking their railway tickets and cancelling them deliberately just for the purpose of converting demonetized currency without approaching banks, a move that actually defeats the very purpose of this initiative by the Government.

The actual problem lies in the mindset of the people. Simply banning high currency notes can't drastically change our mindset.

I think intentions behind banning notes of 500 and 1000 denomination to hit on black money was right but there were issues with an implementation which defeated the purpose of this big step. People have surplus black money (500 & 1000) have great influence because of there economic status and they get involved with banks to convert their black money. People were initially allowed to deposit/convert currency and investigation to establish the source of money was initiated later on. I think before allowing the people to deposit govt should have to establish the source of that money and it would have discouraged the people with wrong means.

Hi friends,

Ban 500, 1000 notes are nothing but just changing the clothes. The primary idea behind this decision to be to support the higher ministers and make their black money converted into white money. Due to this Demonetization, the poor and middle-class people suffered a lot by standing in front of ATM for a long time.

From my point of view, I think demonetization of high currency notes is a very good step taken towards the goal to end corruption, But we need to know that corruption is not happening just from black money although black money or evading tax is one of the major cause but other factors by which corruption happens needs to be taken care of. I believe its just a first step more will come in future in this regard.

Hello friends.

I agree your speech. But 1000 & 500note are not to corruption. It depends on you. It depend on how types of using it, First time note are change in 1972 and second time 2016. It is right thing by Modi Ji.

Hi everyone,

I think demonetisation is correct to some extent but not wholly and the problem is that the rich people are converting their black money into white and did you people observed that such a kind of conversion is happening with the help of bank managers, employees, brokers and even RBI staff are also supporting for the same. The government can take the strict action on those who are encouraging such kind of economical disruptions and I think govt. Had got some amount of tax due to demonitisation which helps us to some lesser tax burden further.

Although it is a big step against corruption but 2000 rupee note is a more easier way, available for corruption.

Note ban will make the fake currency disable in the country but corruption is not much effected by demonetization.
