The digital payments are secure enough if you are aware and cautious at the time when you are making payment. Everyone's account is linked to mobile no. And you get an OTP every time you make a transaction and also the transaction pages are encrypted so by no means they are not secure but the thing is that only a person who knows you can betray you or the false callers saying they are calling from a bank. I've read some comments saying that people are illiterate etc. If they can use youtube etc. They can make payments also it's not a hard science just once you have to learn procedure to make payment and some word meanings while making the transactions.

Yes, Digital payments are secure enough as they help in cashless Transaction but not every where. There are many people who are not aware of digitalisation especially in rural areas. So it is the responsibility of goverenment and every citizen of the country (educated people) to bring awareness everywhere about digital payments. It is not only the complete responsibility of the government but also the contribution of every educated individual plays a vital role in making Digital India. Regarding cashless transaction it is secure that many security options came into existence but technological developments has to still work on it to make it more secure.

No, I don't think that digital payment is secure enough. There are quite a number of reasons for this. I recently heard from a responsible person from cyber crime department on how data are being hacked every day from our PC and Mobile everyday which does include secure and encrypted websites. Everyday data taken from us is used to serve ads to us related to our browsing behavior. Every day we hear some or the other way to extract details from our mobiles and PC. Even common payment systems like PayTM use saved cards for payments which can be very dangerous. Anyone that gets hold of you phone can get money transferred instantly from your card or bank.

Humble view of mine is that cashless economy is a boon to our country. Because the transparency in transactions makes people's pay the taxes for their income and expenditure. But still, if there is a step moving upward there must be a clear view of positive and negative effects. Even in many villages, it's is hard to see a street light and how it is possible to make the cashless economy in such places. The internet is not accessible and it is not trustworthy as money. So the GOI should focus on developing the technical aspects and that leads us to use e-economy definitely, not by the advertisements of Bollywood heroes can make us use cashless economy.

Yes, really because of digital payments India is becoming corruption less country.

Because of digital payments India is getting digitalised. Even though there are some problems in villages initially, but later on they came to know the importance and buying smartphones and getting digitalised. Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced this idea mainly to curb corruption and he became successful.

No need of carrying money with our hands with lots of fear that someone will rob it, we can simply carry a card in our purse.

Finally, there may be some problems initially but later on "digital payments" is playing a key role in the development of our country.

Hello,

Repeating the topic :" Are digital payments secure enough for the Indian economy to go cashless?".

Yes, Absolutely digital payments are secure enough to do an online money transaction.

One need to be very sure before any online transaction or payment. Always double check the information about receiver and website.

Fraud can happen by : - Doing an online transaction on the unsecure webpage.

- Emails that redirecting to fraud website.

A simple check is the Padlock symbol before https:// and web address should start with https:// "s" stand for secure.

Indian government are having a tough cyber team that will protect the online transaction.

No.

According to my point of view, I can say it is not secure enough. Hackers are well trained and can track each and every piece of information from even the educated folks. The illiterate persons can easily be manipulated by a single phone call asking for very important details.

And getting fooled nowadays.

Even Literate people are finding much difficulty to get to know about full features of recent apps and websites.

I prefer a perfect worldwide awareness about all basic digital features trending nowadays throughout the entire world and each person should be educated about the negative side of the product so that can alert them while using it.

In my point of view digital payments are secure enough for the Indian economy to go cashless.

After demonetization digital payments and transaction has increased, it shows that economy of India moving forward to go cashless. Now these days all digital payments are secrud by many security system that no one can miss use the others credentials while paying digitally. Indian government is also promoting the digital payment.

But Indian economy can't become cashless it will take many years to go cashless because in India rural areas people are not so much knowledge about digital payment, Indian government should take steps towards this type of problem.

Hello, Friends, from my point of view, digital payments are a good step for a better economic system.

India is a developing country and by the cashless transaction, we transfer money from one place to another place in a fraction of the time.

Also, no system, device, and process are fully secure then the point of security is around everywhere our responsibility for safe our money.

Many villagers have no idea about How to use of digital payment Or internet solution is that in older time these people are also not understood to use of bank but in time they use it.

As like that these people also understand how to use cashless transaction.

Thank you.

Hello everyone one,

I'm against this thing as India is a developing economy we don't have enough or say trusted sources which we can rely upon.

Moreover, we don't have enough Internet access to certain places in India. People still are living in an era of 2G, not even 3G, so we can't even think of 4G, which would naturally be beyond their reach.

So no digital payment methods, more use of cash which would lead to an increase in Black Money like situation.

So lesser the use of digital payment methods, lesser will be the technology which can secure our transactions.

More the use of it, newer will be the techniques to defend the frauds.

Thank you,
