Yes I agree, digital payments are secure enough for the Indian economy to go cashless. But firstly, we need to make people aware about the latest technology, still many people don't know how to use the smartphones, so I think before implementing any drastic changes in the way of making payments, making people aware should be the first priority. Also, India is still a developing country, so for the development purpose, we need to make the human resource of the country literate and then going cashless thing should be taken into consideration.

Hello,
According to me for every forward step, there are some negativities.
Now, coming to this topic "going cashless" means paying all the necessary bills by using a single button sitting button sitting at home.
But all the people doesn't know about this. So people awareness should be grown to increase this activity, especially in all the small towns. And the securities should be given much better without hacking the pages.
I finally tell that this is a positive step.

First of all, I would like to thank all the member who participated here and have a healthy discussion.
As far as I concerned about digital payment, it is one for the bold initiation of the current government. It's a new beginning I would say, however still we have lots of challenges of illiteracy and awareness among the people about the use of safely digital payment to avoid cybercrime. However, beginning has started somewhere and I believe we will give the full digitalized system to our next generation.

Hello,
As the discussion is about are digital payments secure enough for the Indian economy to go cashless. So for this my opinion, is as of now India is not advanced and secured the payments to go completely cashless. But with the same efforts, advanced technology, adoption of rescue measures against cyber hackers, more protection to bank accounts, speed of internet facilities, initial offers for inducement and classes and awareness for village people about digital payments (as our country is with much with village people who are illiterate) can achieve in the upcoming years.

After demonetization, many people of India started doing digital transactions like paytm etc. But I didn't face any problem regarding security and didn't hear about security problems from anyone. Digital transactions are more secure than cash transactions, you don't need to carry cash all the time, it reduces the risk of money theft, we can keep records of our transactions.

I am completely in favour of this, because of the following positive things :- fast processing, saves times, increases one's knowledge in technology sector, provides the convinence to the customers, helps one's to collect information easily in short in interval of time as while doing digital payments one is able to know about the others methods available to make digital payments (various types of credit cards, debits cards, and wallets available to make the desired payments) and also improves the communication between banks and customers who is going to use the digital payments option. So this is a source of future as well as present needs as this technology of payments is green and sustainable.

Hi.
Digital payments make every citizen easy to pay their bills and expenses.
If we have an overview to this we can say that our country is now growing very advance rapidly in technologies so its helpful to us. But if we look on another side its a loss for us because nowadays it's not safe anyone can access our password by hacking and can able to transfer all our money to their account so it's not much secure for the Indian economy to go cashless.

Yes. In some extent it is. In prior days people generally use cash, debit cards, cheques to settle the transaction but after demonetization the scenario of India has changed people become more aware about the technologies. Digital payments are secure and easy to use. Anyone who know how to use smartphone can use it for eg paytm. It is widely used by people in India after demonetization. India is a developing country and it is a right step to make India a developed country.

In my opinion, digital payments are not completely secure enough for going completely cashless but it's a very innovative idea and can be made completely secured by providing some efforts like adopting rescue measures against cybercrime using advanced technology & awaring illiterate people by providing some easy techniques. As it's a very time-saving approach, saves from physical robbery & provides many more benefits so I think in few years it can be made completely secure.

Hello everyone.
I think, yes it is a secure payment option for every Indian. It reduces the theft rate also. It also save time it large manner. It make our things more easier than before. We only have to put our atm pin and holder name and atm no. That'it. And make our payment done but in previous we have to take our money in our hand and give it to the respective person. It also increase the theft ratio. So it is very much require that the payment should be digital and we should go cashless. But there is one other side also. Many people in our country don't know how to use computer and phones. So the government should take some steps to educate them also. It will take some time to go fully cashless but it is a better option in my point of view.
