Yes, digital payments secure enough for the Indian economy to go cashless but we should not forget about rural areas of India where people don't know about it until they are able to do it we can't make it cashless so we should teach them first about this digital payment then slowly we make it cashless.

Hello Everyone,
In my opinion, digital payments decision is a good idea as well as a bad idea for the Indian economy to go cashless transaction.

Advantages of digital payments:
1) reduce terrorist
2) reduce corruption
3) reduce block money
4) time-saving
5) easy cashless transaction. For example; paytm, credit card and debit card using swipe machine, otherwise mobile apps etc.
6) growth.
7) reduce theft and easy convenience.

Disadvantages of digital payments:

1) increase unethical hacking
2) cashless transaction is not secure. For example; hacking Facebook, bank account details, otp number, Twitter, what's app etc.
3) This is not suitable for rural people.
4 )Main disadvantage - illiteracy and technology problem.
4) People's are lazy (due to cashless transaction - using anytime mobile phone, computer, etc.,)
5) Online purchase is not safe. Because of the main reason for ethical hacking.
6) Nowadays hacking technology is improved. So cashless transaction is not suitable.

Solutions:
1) Government take a safe decision and this decision doesn't affect the rural people and illiteracy.
2) online transaction should be safe.
3) reduce ethical hacking technology.
4) increase youngsters power and contact function.(eg : workshop, presentation and speech to people)
5) cashless transaction method the village people is understandable.

Thank you.

According to my opinion, Digital payments are secure but we need to more conscious on making payments when demonetisation announced there is a high flow of people to the bank to deposit their old money, and the hackers are silent killers be aware of them.

Necessary steps against the hacking websites and by creating the awareness campaigns and promoting the user-friendly apps among the illiterates.

Even now also rural area no ATM centres working properly.

So take initiative in be India one.

This will helps to reduce the corruption.

-reduce balance giving problem in a retail market.

-India's GDP makes a change in this situation.

Hello, everyone. Myself Anita. First of all, this is very Interesting and Useful Topic. The Topic is "Are Digital Payments secure enough for the Indian Economy to go cashless?" Yes! Nowaday's Digital payments are one of the vital role in India. People can no need to go bank to deposit the cash or pay the amount ; By using digital payments is quite easy and also secure. People can also buy their appropriate things (while shopping) they can easily pay the Money through credit cards or debit cards. If we forgot to bring or If we need to pay some more amount we can easily pay through credit cards from our account. So, In my point of view digital payments are well process Method. But I don't know it is enough for Indian Economy. It is benefit to go cashless, but it is not enough to Indian Economy. I hope that Government will focus and proceed the correct action to develop our Indian Economy. Thanks for reading my post!

Yes, according to my opinion.

Digital payments are secure but we need to take necessary steps against the hacking websites and by creating the awareness campaigns and promoting the user-friendly apps among the illiterates. This will helps to reduce the corruption and tax evasion problems by increasing our countries GDP growth.

It's a good topic.

India is having good economy since 2 years because in this year crores of bank accounts have been open and people started money saving. Digitalisation of payment will help to the strong Indian economy. Digital payment makes people educated in this modern era. People will keep their money in bank beside of home or any safe custody, it will help to the strong economy. People will also save their time. Get Commission through online transaction. Away from the risk of theft and loss of money.

Govt is also making a plan to educate the people of the country by awareness program. Advertising. Shops and malls have also given dirn to educate the people to make India digital. It will keep your account statement in the finger tip. It will also help to reduce black money.

Thanks

Yes, the India is moving towards being cashless, but yet it is not safe to go truly cashless. Since being cashless means all the payment transactions are going to happen via online, and that is a worry. Online transactions in India are not 100 percent safe, India cyber security is yet in developing phase. Every now or then we are heard of hacking, even Google Facebook & government sites are hackable. How can be our online transactions thought to be 100 percent safe? Online frauds are bit easier and faster and safer for the criminals. A criminal if robs a person only that person is going to be affected, but if a cybercriminal hacks someone' bank account, it would have great chances he can attack much more accounts in a less time. Yes, the traceable, what if the crime is done from some other countries. Also, the India is a country where the literacy rate is not up to where it should be and moreover cyber literacy is very low. Often the educated people become the cyber victims. Therefore We need to re-think and strengthen our cyber security before going fully cashless country.

Yes, India is ready to go cashless because the software used for the online transaction is very secured. India using BHIM software which is developed by NPCI which uses Unified payment user interface that makes the online transaction very much secured until and unless your OTP or mobile numbered is not kept safe.
