Good evening sir,
The topic is "Are digital payments secure enough for the Indian economy to go cashless". So in my opinion, India is still a developing country and in the other case our country is laborious in nature it is not easy to change the habitual or cash economy but from the new thought presented by our prime minister Narendra Modi. And it is a unique and wonderfull idea and I believe that digital payments secure enough for the Indian economy to go cashless.

Yes, The digital payments in India secure to some extent. But how many peoples are ready to use it. Only few of them. About three fourth population of India lives in rural areas. Only 30% of Indian population uses smart phones. And most of the Indian population lives in urban areas are afraid of making online payments. A campaign which educates the Indians about digital payment by the ban the by the government is must in order to penetrate the cashless payment system.

Indian economy is expanding with a very good pace and had been ranked as 6th richest and biggest economy. By this going cashless can rocket boost its economy.
But looking at the other side of the coin shows a big threat of security, for this we need to educate our people about the internet banking and threats related to it.
In a nut shell digital payments are reliable but within the jurisdiction of common people that the can handle.
"Excess of anything is harmful".

To add on, Digital economy has played a vast role in contributing to our society up-gradation. One of the major benefit is people are liable to engage to new technologies with keen to learn more and more about the latest techs. Like if we are moving to online payments or doing card payments then it is obviously good to use them more often as it is somehow enabling us to forgive cash burdens. While it is also making people to go quick in terms of saving loads of time.

I think yes, if we have used in a proper way read out all the instructions. But in India , uneducated people first of all, give the idea about how to use like don't share otp number, your id password, mobile resisters numbers then we have used.
There is a huge amount of benefits time saving, don't fear theft. Reduced correction and don't a problem of taxes.
There are many applications are used for the transitions the money don't use the local app. Used net banking.

Yes, I agree digital transactions makes a great improvement for the Indian economy. At the same time, we need to remember that there are many Indians still who don't know even to recognise the numbers. Hence the currency notes in India will be in different colours so that people can recognise with colours.
Hence digitalization can be implemented at higher level money transactions. And going complete cash less creates great problems at the present situation in India.

India is the third largest economy in the world. Indian economy is growing rapidly and digitization has important role in it. The use of cashless economy is increasing day by day. It is making the lives of common man easy. But their lies a major problem related to the security of these online payments. Digital payments are normally seems to be fine but there always is the presence of loop holes in the security system. So government should improve the security system.

It is good to go with cashless because it mitigates the chances of corruption also lower the certainty of taking the huge amount of money with oneself. People need not take care of their money (hard cash).
Apart from these, there is also some negative things such as the transaction is not secure. Few days earlier we listened hacking of accounts in which bunch of money is withdrawn or theft. Thus online transaction is having security problem ie security from hackers.

Although mobile connections in India rates at a mammoth 87/100 people, yet just 26% of them enjoy internet access, thus to ensure cashless economy, one must pay heed to the current internet access across the nation which is a primary step towards cashless payments & as far as security matters are concerned cash payments aren't safe to counter fake currency. Every vital step has its pros & cons. It's our choice whether to track pros & overlook cons or not.

At this point I would say that India is partly ready to go cashless as it covers mostly the rural areas and illiteracy is the most prevalent factor. Hence it is much more important to educate the ruralites now itself than to immediately launch the practice of cashless economy.
Whereby that education must be fully of making understand and setting ready the people for the economy tomorrow.
Which goes by the saying "Necessity is the mother of invention. ".
Thank you.
