Japan is the only highly industrialised country which has almost no reserves coal and iron -the chief raw materials of Iron and Steel Industry. These raw materials are imported from USA. Industrialisation in Japan is Attributed by-
1. High utilisation of hydel power
2.Coastal location of industrial districts like Osaka-Kobe, Tokyo, Yokomama,Kitakyushu which facilitates development of ports from where imported raw materials can be easily obtained.
3.Government assistance in educating the masses for the nation's industrialisation
