None of the answers is correct.
Firstly, this only applies to Windows, secondly this is not a system file, nor is it "generated" by CMD. It is simply a human-created text file that can be interpreted by CMD, as opposed to a "system file" which is created and used only by the operating system.

Thats right @GD .bat (batch file) files are usually generated by command prompt in windows.

.Bat file also know as batch file it allow to create a lists of commands to run in sequence once the batch file has been executed.

.BAT extension is used for backup file not for system file ,for system file .INI extension is used. i have studied that.
