Brian Lara scored 501 runs against Durham for Warwickshire on 6th June in 1994. He broke the record of Hanif Mohhammad who had previously scored 499 runs and was runout in 1958-59.

Test comes in first class cricket and it has two innings in which Brain Lara scored 400 runs not out.
