This principle is known as Doping. Adding of an impurity to a pure semi conductor in order to increase certain properties.

Your some what correct the properties are to increase number of holes and electrons concentration which they conduct electricity.

Due to the addition of impurity the conductivity of the semiconductor increase.

This process is known as Doping it depends on the holes and Electrons in the wsemiconductor it is normally doped by Aluminium to increase hole and Phosporous to increase electrons.

Doping is for increasing the electrical conductivity. If we are adding suitable impurities it will help to increase their conductivity.

This phenomenon is called dopping, if we add pentavalent substance we get n-type semiconductor, if we add trivalent we get p-type semiconductor.

Yes definitely when we increase the impurities its conductivity increases.
