REFRACTION mean light slightly bend & in REFLECTION light properly reflect in same medium.

Can Anyone explain about REFLECTION and REFRACTION?

The main phenomenon behind rainbow formation is total internal reflection. In case of primary rainbow 1 internal reflection takes place whereas 2 in case if secondary rainbow.

It is due to the absorption of sunlight when rain had just occur.

The water droplets in the sky behave like tiny prism. Rays of sunlight entering in to the droplets undergoes one reflection and two refraction. The rainbow appears semicircular for an observer with inner edge violet and outer edge red.

It is because of internal reflection and refraction of sun light.
