Have you been on one of those merry-go-rounds? When you are moving at full speed, you would observe that the strings would be extended outside, you would feel like you would almost fall and there is the excitement.

The reason for this to happen is because of the presence of centrifugal force that tends to push the circularly moving object away from the center. The same thing happens when a train is moving at a fast pace over a curve. On a flat track, the train would experience pushing and that can move the center of gravity away. To counter this, the curves are banked in order to get the trains to slightly tilt towards the interior so that the centrifugal force can be countered.

Centripetal force is a force that is directed towards center of circle. Railway tracks are banked to avoid centrifugal reaction. Which avoid accidents.

Curved roads are always banked to get necessary centripetal force.

What is banking?

This centripetal force is needed to to avoid accident.

Tan of the angle at which the road is banked equals the mass multiplied by the square of the velocity all divided by the radius.

Banking means to raise the outer edge with inner edge of a road or track while following a curve.

@Dinesh and @Sandeep.

Your explanation is well. Thank you.

I can't understand the question. Can anyone give me the clear explanation?

There are two opposing forces acting on any object moving in a circular path. The first one is called centripetal force while the second is centriugal force. Centripetal force acts toward the centre of a cicular path while centrifugal pull a moving object away from the centre of the cicular path. Banking is the process of reducing centrifugal force and then increase centripental to prevent accident. Hope this help.
