Fast moving neutrons are obtained from cosmic radiation emitted by the sun and these radiation strikes nitroge present in the atmosphere which results into the formaton of radiocarbon

What is radiocarbon dating? Describe it. Is there only one source of fast moving neutrons i.e. sun? Can we define all living creature's age by radioactive dating? Or only human's age.

Radiocarbon is a isotope of carbon atom which is formed between reaction of neutrons and nitrogen which is present in atmosphere and neutron coming from sunlight.

Radiocarbon is an example of a radioisotope which are obtained by firing neutrons, protons or deuterons to naturally occurring elements like nitrogen.

Yes, option A is correct.

Because the fast neutrons collides with the nucleus of nitrogen in the atmosphere it creates an intermediate as a result.

Radiocarbon means radioactive isotope carbon i.e., 6c14
Atomic number - 6
Mass number - 14
It is an unstable element
Stable carbon is 6c12

I agree with a but please tell me what is properties of radio carbon ? Why it is processed with only nitrogen instead of any gases ?

Collision means accident.

Radiocarbon means the accident between fast neutron and nitrogen neutron then radio carbon is produced.

Radiocarbon is the radioactive isotope carbon atom which donoted as result of fast moving neutrons present in an atmosphere.

An element becomes radioactive when there will be an imbalance in nucleons in its nucleus or when its atomic no exceeds 82.
