Mica is a dielectric materials. So that energy gap of the dielectric materials is too large that's why it never conduct electricity at particular temperature. If it is dielectric materials definitely it doesn't allow electricity through it. So automatically that electrical energy will converted into heat energy.

Answer A is correct.

Answer: A good conductor of heat but a bad conductor of electricity.

Is there any other solid materials like mica which is good conductor of electricity and bad conductor of electricity.

Really MICA is a good conductor of heat, because I have done one experiment about it and same time I saw that, mica is not a good conductor of electricity.

This is because the resistivity of mica is more which makes it a good conductor of heat and bad conductor of electricity.

I hope it helps you people.

What is the function of mica in the iron?

Mica is a good conductor of electricity and is used in many chemical and electrical industries.

Its true, that mica is a good conductor of heat but a bad conductor of electricity, mica heats the iron's base but not give electric shock. That's why it is use in electric iron.
