Sound can not travel through vacuum, it needs a material medium to travel.

Speed of sound is directly proportional to the density of the medium ie more the density more will be the speed that's why it travels fastest in solids and slowest in gases.

By the way the question was about speed of light!

Even glass is a solid but how can you consider velocity of sound as highest in steel in one case and in vaccuum in other case. ?
