Departmental standing committee to submit the demand for grant they are 24 in number with strength of 31 & have to submit their reports within the stipulated time. Also the report needs to be ministry wise.

Each of these Standing Committees consists of not more than 45 members "30 to be nominated by the Speaker from amongst the members of Lok Sabha and 15 to be nominated by the Chairman, Rajya Sabha from amongst the members of Rajya Sabha. That is why the ratio becomes 2:1. Not because of 20 10 or something like that.
