Members of Lok Sabha hold an office for 5 years in normal tenure but in case of national emergency President can extend their tenure for 1 more year. i.e. total 6 years.

The normal tenure of LOK SABHA is 5 year but incase of emergency situation it may extend 1 year more by The President.

Member of Lok sabha is 5 years and Rajya sabha is 6 years. Rajya sabha cannot dissolve. 1/3 of its members gets retire every year.
