State commission means the regulatory body of the state or municipality having jurisdiction to regulate rates and charges for the sales of natural gas, electricity to consumers within the state or municipality.

State commission explain in section 3(15) of the FPA.

Meaning: Each state government has to establish consumer disputes resolving agencies at state level. This is known as state commission.

Formation: The state commission will consist of a president and two other members to be appointed by the state government.
