In impeachment process parliament terminate president, President him/her self cannot sign on his termination letter, vis a vis in case of removal of speaker, chairman, chairman appointed by President like constitutional bodies where president is last authority to give an assent of removal, In India Impeachment is word is only used for termination of President and now for CJI as well dramatically. Moreover impeachment is Quasi-Judicial process.

As long as I define the impeachment to terminate either president of India or sc judge, requires 2/3 majority of both houses and the half majority of total states Vidhan Sabha and each Vidhan Sabha with a clear majority. Until now no impeachment process successfully in India due to multiparty governances.

Impeachment is stopping president from performing few powers or work for unlawful activity or unconstitutional activity only after appointment of new president he will be terminated.

There are 3 ways of removal of president :

1. Resignation 2. Death 3. Impeachment.

And while that time vice president act as president.

Impeachment means When unlawful activity done by the president. And the result is termination of president from his post.

I think supreme court has the power to impeach the president of India.

Can anybody tell me what is the process of impeachment?

Who have power to impeach the president?
