By profession MK Gandhi, CR Das, Jawaharlal Nehru were lawyers. It was a trend among the educated upper-middle class indians at that time (who usually studied law by convention) to join the INC.

Yes It's absolutely right. There was trend among them. Shree M.K Gandhi, Javaharlal Nehru, Sardar vallabhbhai Patel they were Lawyers. Their absolute profession was as. Lawyer. It our Struggle for Independence got them to be a teacher or jOurnalist.
