Gautami Prajapati was not dai maa. She was the sister of Mahamaya Siddhartha's mother. Buddha's mother was Koliya dynasty and princess of Devdaha.

Buddha's father was the leader of Shakya tribe. And Buddha was also called as Shakya muni.
Gautam prajapati was like a dai maa who groomed Buddha in his childhood. He got his name Gautam from her dai maa. And later she was the the first female monk of Buddhism.

Shakya is a Suryavanshi Kshatriya clan of Hindu religion in India. The name is derived from the Sanskrit word sakya which means capable, able.
The Sakyas formed an independent republican state, known as Sakya Ganarajya. The Sakya capital was Kapilavastu present-day Nepal, lies near to the border of present-day Uttar Pradesh state of India. This system of administration is adopted by the Constitution of India which identifies India as a republican state or Ganatantra (republic).
The most famous Shakya was the prince Siddhartha Shakya (ca. 600 BCE) who was the founder of Buddhism and came to be known as Gautama Buddha. Siddhartha was the son of Suddhodana.
