The nirvana is not a part of trident shaped symbol of Buddhism but is an important feature. Nirvana: A transcendent state in which there is neither suffering, desire, nor sense of self, and the subject is released from the effects of karma and samsara. It represents the final goal of Buddhism.
Trident means the shape of a trishul which lord shiva uses as his weapon. Trident shaped is a symbol of buddham sharanam gachchhami, dhamm sharanam gachchhami, sangham sharanam gachchhami. Nirvana means nothing that means not thinking about money and jewel and relationship and sexual feeling. A person get out of these things call nirvana. Three jewels of buddhism are - buddha, dhamma and sangha. Because nirvana represents an advanced form of samadhi or jhana Hinduism acknowledges it as Nirvikalpa Samadhi, Buddhism, as Ceto-vimutti Samadhi.

Nirvana is such an absolute transcendent state or place and it is totally a religious and spiritual term which refers to a place of peace where there is no desire, no sorrow, no feelings, and no sin but a place of happiness. After death the soul leaves the physical body which we recognize as different name line he is so and so, she is so and so, he is my father, he is my brother etc. But just after death there no any human relationship but soul will be gone to a place which we call heaven.
But all soul will not enter to heaven it may go to hell also which completely depends on God (jesus). In brief I share it but there is a long debate on this topic which can't be written here.

The trident shaped symbol in Buddhism trident is a reference to the triple gem: Buddha, dhamma, sangha. Whereas Nirvana means "blowing out" or "quenching. ".
Nirvana is the earliest and most common term used to describe the goal of the Buddhist path.
Nirvana describes a state of freedom from suffering and rebirth, but different Buddhist traditions have interpreted the concept in different ways.

Salvation is what you get life of eternal peace and joy after death. It can be achieved only through loving your God and your neighbors. Forgive and even love your enemy. This was said by Jesus.
We believe these principles are TRUE and good for salvation. Because, there's no rival or enmity if we love our enemy. So, we can maintain peace and joy untold.

Though "Nirvana" is not a part of three jewels of Buddhism it is the ultimate "Aim" of Buddhism.
Nirvana simply means annihilation of all the desires. It is to be achieved in life & not after death. We can extrapolate that Nirvana is must for ENLIGHTENMENT.

The followers of budda followed three main things which is called as Trishul mantra.
Buddam sharanam gachhami.
Dharmam sharanam gachhami.
Sangham sharanam gachhami.
So nirvana is not a part of that Trishul (trident) mantra.

The trident symbol is called 'Triratna' in Buddhism and represent the three things that Buddhists take refuge in namely:
A) Buddha - The Enlightened or Awakened One.
B) Dharma - The Teachings.
C) Sangam - The Community.

Literally means "blown out", as in a candle.
The term "nirvana" is most commonly associated with Buddhism and represents its ultimate state of soteriological release and liberation from rebirths in samsara. Is it?
