The treaty was signed between Cornwallis and Tippu Sultan in march 19 1792. Cornwallis was father of civil services. He introduced convenient services in India and appointed district collectors.

I think its the correct.

It was signed to bring the 3rd mysore war to an end. Tipu sultan was almost defeated. The english got most part of mysore at the end of the war.
