After the partition of India and erstwhile east Pakistan(present Bangladesh) most of the jute producing areas were under the latter for which Indian factories in West Bengal suffered from shortage of adequate raw materials.Moreover their were labour disputes which led to the shutting down of the jute mills.these were the main causes behind crisis of jute industry in India.

Stiff competition from synthetic fibre is one of the major cause of bad condition of jute industry in India.

Option III is also correct explanation.

Most of the uses of Jute has been replaced by synthetic material due to cheap in operational cost, easy to handle and many more. Its happens due to production of synthetic is low in cost.
