If a sun emitting continuous energy then why it is not get finished yet.

According to Einstein energy equation,

E = M*C*C.

So in nuclear reaction energy is obtained by mass.

On nuclear fission, large nuclei is splitting up into smaller nuclei. In this reaction some mass is lost. The mass lost is known as mass defect. The mass losing is converted into energy as in Einstein's equation E = m.c2. As c=a constant with value equalent to 3 lakh (speed of light). A small mass is converted into a huge amount of energy.
Got it ?

The mass may convert into energy let us example the mass of the petrol convert into heat energy .We can use the theorem E=mc^2 to calculate the energy.

Based on Einstein's theory E=mc2

See just take an example there is a verry heavy book on a desk hold it and through it on the bench. You can hear sound that is energy. As you know energy is never created or destroyed. So it just converted in sound energy.

In the same way the atom's proton mass transverd to make energy. And don't confuse that energy is starting from here. The energy which is applied to the conversion is used.

If you understand and if your un satisfied ? common man! we will reaserch about it.

Mass needs much effort to transfer its energy.
