3) During this fission process, a huge amount of energy is produced further giving rise to radioactive elements as well as the release of many neutrons.

4) These neutrons can further induce a chain fission reaction in the nucleus of the uranium or plutonium and release more neutrons.

=> Nuclear fusion is a reaction through which two or more light nuclei collide to form a heavier nucleus.

1) The nuclear fusion process occurs in elements that have a low atomic number, such as hydrogen.

Neutron is the main thing which can initiate a nuclear fission reaction.

Neutron is used for nuclear fission because it can be controlled hence used for power generation.

During the carbon cycle or proton proton cycle neutron plays a main role here a proton reacts with a neutron.
