What is the unit for measuring the amplitude of a sound?

Because unit of weaves (even sound or light) is measure in frequency, so unit of sound is decibels and also for amplitude.

Pitch or frequency of sound measured with cycles/sec or hertz.
Where as amplitude is measured with decibels (dB).
