Option D is the correct answer.
First of all, someone said diamonds can only be cut by diamonds. That's completely wrong. Platinum-osmium alloy tools are actually used to cut diamonds (diamond dust is also used but as abrasive to polish the diamonds' surfaces). The problem with using a diamond to cut another is that you would end up with two shattered diamonds.

Because diamond is very hard as it cannot be broken. It is found inside earth's surface.

Diamond is the hardest naturally occurring substance found on Earth. But it is not the hardest substance. Wurtzite boron nitride (synthetic) and lonsdaleite (which comes from meteorites) are both harder.

Diamond is the hardest substance on the earth. It's an allotrope of carbon having all 4 valency satisfied. Due to this, it has quite strong bonding and thus very hard in nature.

Gold can melt, iron can melt, platinum can melt but diamond can't melt.
Diamond can cut only using Diamond.
Diamond can cut only using Diamond.

Diamond is metal with this feature also it is made of carbon atoms. So here there is strong bond or covalent bond between carbon atoms (atoms are tightly fixed). So these two characteristics combine to make it strong and hard.
