Acetylene is a alkynne (CH-=CH). It is a gas.

It is also called as oxyacetylene gas and has ability to create very high temperature.

Correct option is (C). Because argon is used in tungsten inert gas welding as a shielding gas to protect weld pool.

Its oxyacetylene gas which melts metals like iron steel etc. So right answer is option D.

Argon is also widely used for welding.

oxygen react with acetylene form oxy acetylene which produces a very high temperature

Bcoz, acetylene burns in oxygen gas producing oxy-acetylene flame which has temp above 3000 degrees. So it is used for welding.

But in heavy fabrication units co2 and argon mixture is also use for MS welding. And for SS welding pure ARGON gas is use.

ALSO, HYDROGEN gas is used in atomic hydrogen welding for shielding the weld zone. Hence protecting the welded part from oxidation or contamination.

H2, C2H2+O2, ARGON (MIG WELDING).

Best resembling option will be option C.
