Bcoz, acetylene burns in oxygen gas producing oxy-acetylene flame which has temp above 3000 degrees. So it is used for welding.

The most commonly used gas basis welding is organ wielding oxygen and acetylene used in large industry so option C is right.

Because oxygen react with acetylene and form oxyacetylene gas and hot temperature which is very helpful in welding process.

But in heavy fabrication units co2 and argon mixture is also use for MS welding. And for SS welding pure ARGON gas is use.

Correct option is (C). Because argon is used in tungsten inert gas welding as a shielding gas to protect weld pool.

Oxy-hydrogen is also suitable for welding because it is 2800 celsius and oxy-acetylene flame is 3300 celsius.

I think that when oxygen and acetylene are proper to welding than why to add extra argon gas, it's costly.

For welding of metals such as Mg, Al inert atmosphere is necesarry To create this argon, neon also used.

In welding we use oxygen and acetylene because acetylene provides a comparatively higher temperature.

Because oxygen reacts with acetylene in presence high temperature and it helps easy to welding.
