Nitrogen because as to what I've learned nitrogen is the cause of lightning that makes mushrooms grow!

Hey @Ishmael. Mostly neon is used in an electric bulb. But here it is not on option. So don't confuse.

Nitrogen due to its stability due to its inert nature as well as less inflammable nature than oxygen.

Bulbs is generally known as an inert gas.
Either be argon or neon.
The gas used could also be xenon.

It is Argon. Because it has most inert property. But according to options nitrogen is correct. :-).

Can anyone give me explanation about inert gases and nitrogen. Which is easy to fill or available?

Regular incandescent light bulbs are filled with a combination of argon (93%) and nitrogen (7%).

Because the filament of the bulb is made of nichrome and nitrogen does not react with nichrome.

We should write nitrogen not argon because argon has more stability & it has lower energy.

What will happen if hydrogen gas is used in the incandescent bulb? Anyone explain the effect.
