Nitrogen.
- It prevents the entry of oxygen so that the filament doesn't oxidize too quickly and become unfunctional. Many people have the wrong idea about the Electric bulbs that there is no vacuum in the electric bulb.
- Actually, argon gas or argon gas mixed with a little nitrogen is filled in the bulb under some pressure.

I agree nitrogen is used inside the electric bulb.
But why another gases doesn't use?

At the same time, the pressure of Argon gas would almost prevent 'evaporation' of the filament. Modern bulbs are usually filled with a mixture of argon and nitrogen.
More rarely, some bulbs are filled with pure argon, krypton or xenon. The earliest bulbs weren't filled with any gas but had the vacuum inside.

Actually most of the electrical bulbs filled with neon atomic number 10. But I don't see nitrogen filled bulbs. Why?

Argon Is Used.
Argon is a commonly used gas used to fill incandescent light bulbs. It increases bulb life by preventing the tungsten filaments from deteriorating too quickly. Other gasses such as helium, neon, nitrogen, and krypton are also used in lighting.

NITROGEN is very LESS REACTIVE in nature, we know it as it is popular to reduce oxygen's activity in the air, thus, it is the perfect alternative for NEON or ARGON to be filled up in bulbs.

Filament is made of tungsten and when the bulb is on a lot of heat is produced so that no gaseous combustion which may lead to explosion takes place least reactive nitrogen in this case can be used.
