Coinage metals are those which have been historically used to make coins. Nowadays, zinc is also used to make coins but it is not included included in coinage metals.

Coinage metal means metals used to make coins like copper is mixed with both gold and silver to make jewellary and coins but zinc is not used for this purpose may be because it is a stable element and don't mix with other three as zn cd and hg are stable non reactive elements in most cases.
