NO Alcohol as -OH, react to form something cant remember it's like CH3CH2OH + 2Na ---> CH3CH2O-Na + H2.

NO petrol or gasoline dry out in few moments.

Sodium reacts with air and form following reaction

Na+H2O(IN THE PRESENCE OF O2)=NaOH+H2

So avoid raection with H2o & O2 Na kept in kerosene oil.

AS sodium is highly reactive, it reacts with oxygen vigorously to form sodium peroxide when exposed to air. Hence it is stored under kerosene.

Sodium is the most reactive element and hence it reacts with water it will burst therefore it stores in kerosene in glass bottles.

Sodium is a very reactive metal it react vigorously with oxygen. It is dangerous to keep sodium open. So it is kept in kerosene.

Because it react with H2O and burned and form H2 vigorously. In air trace amount of water present.

Because if it is exposed to atmosphere it reacts as it is a highly reactive metal. Therefore it is kept under kerosene.

Because it has low ignition temperature, even low than room temperature, at room temperature it react with Oxygen.

Sodium is kept in kerosene to prevent it from being oxidized. Why can't it also be stored in petrol or alcohol?

Because sodium metal has +1 oxidation no due to this it is easily oxidize in air, and make the sodium oxide.
