Because it react with H2o and burned and form H2 vigorously. In air trace amount of water present.

Because it has low ignition temperature, even low than room temperature, at room temperature it react with Oxygen.

Sodium oxidized instantly on exposure to air and reacts violently with water, yielding sodium hydroxide and hydrogen gas. Hence it is preserved under kerosene.

Sodium reacts with air and form following reaction

Na+H2O(IN THE PRESENCE OF O2)=NaOH+H2

So avoid raection with H2o & O2 Na kept in kerosene oil.

AS sodium is highly reactive, it reacts with oxygen vigorously to form sodium peroxide when exposed to air. Hence it is stored under kerosene.

Sodium is most reactive element hence it reacts vigorous that's why some traces kept in kerosene.

Because in water it will burst and also it stores in kerosene in glass bottle.
