Silicon valley the name given to it itself is the answer to the question. (Silicon is the element used in the electronics devices). Bangalore is known as the Silicon Valley of India because of its position as the nation's leading IT exporter.

As there are large number of software companies in Bangalore, it got the name as Electronic city. More over it has several other names such as Silicon Valley, Garden City, Pensioner's Paradise etc.

So what but Banglore is actually known as GARDEN CITY of INDIA. Even Mumbai & Hyderabad also have many Electronic companies so how can we consider Banglore as the Electronic city.

In this city many electronic items are being traded and many electronic devices are invented. As there are large number of software companies in Bangalore.

Bangalore is a center of it industries and also the zone for software designing. That's why Bangalore is known as the technology capital of India.
