The greek word geo means earth and metron means measurng. Geometry means measurement of earth. Euclid brought the revolutionary change in the outlook of geometry. Euclid made the 5 postulates and 2 axioms.

Seeing the answers of all the member present on this page, now I also think that euclid is the right answer but according to my point of view pythagorus is the right answer.

Greek Mathematics. Euclid enters history as one of the greatest of all mathematicians and he is often referred to as the father of geometry.

The pythagoras theorem is used most rather than euclid's geometry so how can we say that euclid is the father of geometry?

Eulicd is father of geometry but Pythagoras developed it for morden mathematics remember Pythagoras theorem...
