Though Nehru brought up in luxurious life he used help poor people and he joined in politics to rule the country in a good manner. He loves children a lot and he did many good things to children. He used to spent more time with children. Children also used call him as chacha. So we are celebrating his birthday as children's day.

14 November is Birtdate of Shri Jawaharlal Nehru. He loved children very much. So this date is celebrated as Children's Day. He was the first Prime Minister of free India
