Enzymes helps in digestion of food. All enzymes are made up of proteins and the basic unit of protein is amino acid. The enzyme trypsin catalyses the hydrolysis of peptide bonds and breakdown proteins into smaller petides.

Protein digestions begins in the stomach. Digestion of proteins begins with the action of an enzyme called pepsin which is an active protein digesting enzyme of the stomach.

PROTEINS are break down into amino acids by enzyme trypsin but where trypsin is synthesised in plants.
