Root hair absorbs the water and transfers to xylem. So I can say, that the root hair is the most important part of the plant.

Most of the minerals is got from the soil and the obvious way to absorb them from the soil is by the root hairs. This occurs with help of diffusion where are the soil has more concentration of minerals compared to the root hairs. With the help of transpirational pull the mineral is utilised by other parts.

Yes, roots contain vascular bundles i.e. Xylem and Phloem in this Xylem conducts water.
