The scientific term for white blood cells is leukocytes and a lymphocyte is one of the subtypes of White blood cell.

The scientific name of WBC is leukocytes and they have two types one is granulocytes and agranulocytes. In agranulocytes again divides two types one is lymphocyte and another is monocytes. But in human skin have malanocytes in epidermis and hair follicles and it origin from neural crest cells.
