Red is correct ans...

Sravani said:   1 decade ago
I think the answer is red followed by blue, and never in green because leaves reflect green.

Tahir said:   1 decade ago
The correct ans. is red bcoz red has the longest wavelength...but i dont think that orange and violet decreases the speed DEVYANSH....

I think that the ans is red.

But if its white then I need some proof?

Priyanka said:   1 decade ago
Why not in green light.

If it is white light then it needs a prove although I partially agree that it is white light.

Photosynthesis is always fastest in blue and red light .well though white light has blue red and others of vibgyor but orange and violet decreases speed of it.

Max rate of Photosynthesis is in red light, and min rate of Photosynthesis is in green please clarify it if I am wrong.

White does not correct option I think yellow light is correct.

My dear, yeah I agree with you white is not included in VIBGYOR. But it outgrowth of all the 7 colors. Red and blue color are needed in green plants.

So instead of individually getting red or blue color, white color suits the best as it produces both red and blue color whichever color (that is red and blue color) chlorophyll may need to absorb, its present in white color.

Hence, increasing the rate of photosynthesis.
