Denitrification is a microbially facilitated process of nitrate reduction that may ultimately produce molecular nitrogen (N2) through a series of intermediate gaseous nitrogen oxide products. Denitrifying bacteria form a necessary part of the process known as denitrification as part of the nitrogen cycle, their primary purpose being to metabolise nitrogenous compounds, with the assistance of the nitrase reductase enzyme, to turn oxides back to nitrogen gas or nitrous oxides for energy generation. Denitrification is a part of N2 cycle.

Denitrification is a process in which nitrates or nitrites are reduced back to nitrogen gas, with the help of nitrous reductase enzymes. This process takes place in complete absence of oxygen.

The answer is denitrification it is the process by which nitrate is reduced back to nitrogen gas.

Main point here is nitrogen is fixed means atmospheric nitrogen need to be changed(fixed) to be used by plants.
But denitrification is just opposite of nitrogen fixation. That is why option D is false.

Denitrification is part of the nitrogen cycle process!
The answer is not D, I think it is B.
