Internal refraction is a phenomenon in optics where light splits into different colours based on their wavelengths when they enter from one medium to another medium (due to the difference in refractive index).
Hence, we see different colours VIBGYOR - Violet, Indigo, Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange and Red.

Its not fraction. Its refraction same as Internal Reflection.
