Term deposit is a certain amount of cash can be deposited for a specific term or time (say 1 or 2 years) with a given interest rate. You can't withdraw that cash before you stipulated term.

Liquid asset is an asset which can be easily converted into cash with in 01 year (which can be in the form of cash, and any other paper form) so both a and b are correct.
