193 countries are recognized by UNO and give them the status of the country. It doesn't mean that there are only 193 countries in the word and number is more than that.

After the failure of league of nations the 2nd world war happened and a potential failure of UNO brings imminent 3rd world war. Although it can be averted with mature behavior of committee of nations, but the fact is that nations trying to over power each other.

Due to this domination of so called superpowers are making small nations to build their regional groupings (both economically and militarily) and challenging the powerful nations (both with hard and soft powers), the one-upmanship of this new groupings and existing so-called superpowers in the future will be an important and unavoidable treat to the global peace.

This can be avoided if a proper reform process takes place in UNO. There should be a due recognition given to emerging nations along with other regional superpowers.

Irony it that, the p5 nations does not want to loose veto power or share with other nations in the security council in a reformed UNO. By summing it up, I can say with utmost confidence, the biggest enemy of global peace is the reluctant attitude for reforms of permanent nations in the present united nations organisation.

The United Nations-Oceans (UN-Oceans or UN-O) is an inter-agency coordination mechanism of the United Nations, set up to enhance cooperation and coordination of activities concerned with the world oceans and coasts.

The UN-Oceans was formed in September 2003 by the United Nations System Chief Executive Board (CEB) , to replace the Sub-Committee on Oceans and Coastal Areas (SOCA) of the Administrative Committee on coordination (ACC) that was formed in 1993.
