Pituitary gland adenohypophysis part secrete growth hormone in presence of GHRH (growth hormone releasing hormone) growth hormone have receptor in form of insulin like growth factor on surface of liver. This hormone when in excess cause gigantism causing ratio of arms and legs 1:2 and hunchback whereas low secretion of this hormone cause dwarfism which results in small limbs and other deformities.

In vertebrate anatomy, the pituitary gland, or hypophysis, is an endocrine gland about the size of a pea and weighing 0.5 grams (0.018 oz) in humans.

It is a protrusion off the bottom of the hypothalamus at the base of the brain.

Secretion of excess growth hormone from anterior pitutary gland causes gigantism (increase in height). In that octreotide drug is used.

Its the growth hormone from pitutary gland responsible, its excessive secretion causes gigantism and deficiency causes dwarfism.
