The uv rays in sunlight will convert the oil in skin to vitamin D. Without the entry of uv rays how is it possible and in this question you say that ozone prevents uv rays.

There are three types of UV rays. Namely UVA, UVB and UVC.
As A and B are most dangerous and can cause hazardous diseases.
They are blocked by ozone as their intensity is more and hence the remaining one gets pass away and reaches to us.

Ozone layer is very much important for earth, because it protect us from harmful ultraviolet rays, coming from sun which create skin diseases, and this ozone layer is get destroyed slowly due to pollution in earth.
