Aryabhatta is launched for scientific purpose on 19th april, 1975. The vehicle used to launch the satellite is cosmos and it is launched from Bikaner.

Yes it is the correct answer, India launched its first satellite Aryabhata in 1975, 18 after the first satellite sputnik 1 has launched by Russia.

For context, ISRO was formed on 15th August (Independence Day) of 1969, the year Apollo 11 landed on the Moon.
