The ICJ comprises a panel of 15 judges elected by the General Assembly and Security Council for nine-year terms. The court is seated in the Peace Palace in The Hague, Netherlands. Presently President Abdulqawi Ahmed Yusuf from Somalia since 6 Feb 2009.
